Welcome to the world of Lagéya

Lagéya is both the name of a Titaness and the world that forms her body.

There are six or seven continents on Lagéya. The number is disputed based on whether or not the extremely vast island in the Tibulet Ocean is or is not a continent. "Seven is a much more divine number than six," it is said by the people of the Divine Yigan Confederacy, "thus, despite it being so much smaller than the others, Lagéya, herself, would no doubt want Reagulana to be considered a continent."

But of the six or seven, Bikia is without doubt the grandest, most complex of all on the planet. It is considered the main continent for it stretches across most of the center of the flat planet, and Jerah - the sun - travels directly over it on his daily journey across the sky.

Under Jerah's noon position, in the center of the surface of the planet, the two greatest rivers meet to circle the white marble walls and golden gates of the city of Dayigo. The capitol of the Divine Yigan Confederacy and most powerful city in the world, Dayigo is filled with wealthy citizens with fancy clothes and sizable houses. The white marble towers of the fortress Fideluera stretch higher into the sky than any other structure. But great Dayigo is a city so infested with hypocrisy it seems it should ooze down the cobblestone streets and fester in the manicured parks.

In the year 1192, Dayigo decided it was their destiny as ordained by Goddess Déagra to control all of Bikia, and eventually the world. The blood of all who have tried to stop them stains red their virtuous hands.

But more on the planet, itself.

Lighting the night are two moons - Kiyes, the pale blue moon to the west, and Dar, the lavender tinted moon to the distant east. They always keep their places in the sky, never moving a single inch, not while they glow their melancholic glow throughout the quiet night or while they sleep away the day absorbing the light of Jerah. Once, like the sun, the moons circled the planet, but they lost this ability long, long ago.

None seem to adore the night as much as those who reside on a small peninsula off the northern coast of Bikia. This, the Viyae Peninsula, is the only part of the continent the Confederacy dares not touch, for here is where the worshipers of the Gods of night reside and greatly outnumber those who would challenge them.

Lagéya as a whole is home to an assortment of people with the predominant species of Bikians being Humans, Terovae (these like Humans but with feathered wings), and Centaurs (a Human from the waist up but a horse below) with some others such as Minotaurs (a large Human with the head of a bull), Rytras (a Human from the waist up but a snake below), Seknans (a Human with fur and the head of a cat), and Afs (like a Human but half the size, pointed ears, and twice the lifespan).

With the help, or more often hindrance, of overly meddlesome Gods, the people have developed cultures and societies ranging from shadowed settlements within secluded caves, to small towns nestled deep off forest paths, to brilliant cities surrounding beautiful castles. But as might be expected of a world so closely nurtured by Gods, Titans, and immortals; with all its plethora of civilizations, one constant is always present, always playing in the background of every life: magick. Whether held in reverence, repulsion, or reverie, magick ties together all that is Lagéya and consequently acts to pull it apart.
